Windows 12 will be released next year

Next year may bring the long-awaited release of Windows 12, as Intel CFO David Zinsner hinted at the Citi analyst conference. He stated, "2024 should be a good year for customers, especially because of the Windows update. We still believe that the installation base is quite old and requires updating. We think next year could be the start of it, given the catalyst from Windows."

This statement sparked community interest after recent leaks of internal documents from Intel. According to these documents, Intel is developing its Meteor Lake processor specifically for the next generation of the Windows operating system.

As for Windows 12, Microsoft has not yet announced official plans, but there are numerous signs that the company is actively considering future versions of Windows with integration of a wider range of artificial intelligence (AI). Given Microsoft's interest in integrating AI functions such as Copilot into its operating system, the company's employees have already begun discussing potential AI applications.

The head of Microsoft's Consumer Marketing Department, Yusuf Mehdi, shared his vision: "When we start developing future versions of Windows, we will think about other places where AI should play a natural role in terms of experience." This could mean more intelligent and personalized features for Windows users.

With anticipation, it remains to follow the news and announcements from Microsoft and Intel to learn more about the future of the Windows operating system and the technologies it will bring with it.
